Multiple Sclerosis MS Community

Today over 2.5 million people around the world have MS.

Multiple Sclerosis MS is a chronic illness that is felt world wide. Yet we are a community in our own rite. We gather as a community on Social Networking sites and become friends openly or join groups that are private and can be joined by invite only.
You may have been diagnosed with MS already or you are someone who has a medical diagnosis/opinion of possible MS. Either way you are still a part of the MS Community looking for answers, support, a shoulder to cry on, or just others to talk to on social networking.
We can socialize in our PJ's, and do not have to worry about what our hair looks like. We don't have to impress the person on the other side. And we never know, we could be communicating with someone clear across the other side of the world. But it is still Multiple Sclerosis no matter where you are. That is what makes us a community.

Too Cold! Too Hot!

Keeping an eye open for spring!

When we face the cold blustery temperatures of winter we long for those lazy, hazy summer days. The clear blue sunny skies on the beaches with 80 degree temps.
Too often we get so caught up in the dreams of summer that before we know it we are reaching those hot and humid temperatures in the 90's. Air conditioning and fans are what we need to keep cool, forgetting those sub-zero winter days. A small part of me remembers those too cold days, mittens and hats to keep warm.
I look forward to spring in the 70's. This is a favorite time of year for me. I see the awakening of the flowers, trees and grass. The birds are singing again. The days are growing longer and we see more of the sun.
We can't have spring without winter but it just seems that we wait longer for spring and summer than winter.

Beautiful Mountaintop

Sometimes we have to travel some rocky roads

before God brings us to a beautiful mountaintop.

We just have to hold on to His hand,

even when we can't feel it.  ~Unknown

I thank God everyday for my MS. This chronic illness has truly brought me closer to Him. I do not say "Why have you done this to me?" But "How can I use MS to make me a better person?"
MS is with me every second of the day. This illness reminds me of its presence even when I sleep. I am fortunate that I am still mobile and can take care of myself.
I am happy to share my experiences with you and to help you live past the diagnosis of your own MS. No two people experience Multiple Sclerosis the same way. It is a rocky road. Trust in the Lord, hold out your hand, and let Him guide you along the way.
